Congregation Keneseth Israel's 2024 Tribute Book/Directory & Gala will honor Ken and Sue Kirshner. As you know, Ken and Sue have been members of our congregation for over 40 years, serving on boards, committees, volunteering and participating. And their service is not limited to KI. Their volunteering includes Rotary, work on the Breast Cancer hotline and Womens 5K, driving for Meals on Wheels; the list goes on. And with all they do for the Lehigh Valley as well as KI, it is always with huge smiles and time for friends.  

As proud parents of two and grandparents of three, family is at the core of their lives, as are their large circle of friends of which you are a part! Love, courage and service to others—words that perfectly define these wonderful people. 

Would you please consider placing an ad this year? 

Our Tribute Book reaches more than 300 congregant families and friends of Sue and Ken. It will be used during the entire year as a resource for businesses who are friends of KI. Aleph pages and up will include your business ad with links on our website, and the Aleph level will also get a quarterly business ad in our monthly bulletin . There are various levels of support and we hope that you will select one that is right for you.  We look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your continued support!

KI, Caring for the Community

Congregation Keneseth Israel is a Reform Jewish congregation located adjacent to Muhlenberg College and has been in existence since 1903. KI is first a place of worship but is much more. KI is home to a premier religious school and provides free space to a variety of human service organizations in the Lehigh Valley.

A few ways KI serves the broader Lehigh Valley community include:

• Volunteering at Central Elementary School
• Hosting families that are homeless as part of the Family Promise initiative
• Sponsoring the Harvest 5k Run (Proceeds benefit local nonprofit agencies and Central Elementary School)
• Hosting Alcoholic Anonymous meetings
• Hosting interfaith programs that educate and impact the entire Lehigh Valley public
