SUMMARY:Exploring Judaism 10/20
DESCRIPTION:Introducing Exploring Judaism: A New Educational Experience \nWe are excited to announce Exploring Judaism\, a new educational offering that brings together the most meaningful and engaging elements of our popular Taste of Judaism and Introduction to Judaism programs. \nDesigned around the questions and topics that those exploring Judaism most want to understand\, Exploring Judaism offers an engaging and welcoming introduction to Jewish life\, beliefs\, history\, and practice. \nProgram Details\nTuesdays | 7:00–9:00 PM\nOctober 20 & 27\nNovember 10\, 17 & 24\nDecember 1\, 8 & 15 \nEach of the eight sessions is independent\, allowing participants to attend a single class or experience the entire series. \nThe curriculum combines introductory teaching\, guest speakers\, and interactive activities designed to deepen understanding and enrich the learning experience. Topics include: \n\nJudaism’s Core Beliefs\nJewish History and Identity\nSimilarities and Differences Between Christianity and Judaism\nSacred Texts\nJewish Culture\nLife Cycle Events\nJewish Holidays and Observances\n\nAnd because learning about Judaism should engage all the senses\, each session will feature light refreshments related to the evening’s topic. Come taste the babka\, nibble on the challah\, and discover some of the most meaningful—and delicious—aspects of Jewish life and tradition. \nWhether you are exploring Judaism for the first time\, considering conversion\, part of an interfaith family\, or simply curious to learn more\, Exploring Judaism offers a welcoming environment for conversation\, discovery\, and community. \nContact Martina Obenski at mobenski@kilv.org for more information. Or register on-line at www.kilv.org.
